The rendering of Psalm 3 above is ideal for singing without accompaniment while alone. It does not contain any chorus or repetition. The text is based primarily on the New American Standard Bible with as little variation as possible for musical purposes. It does reveal key Hebrew terms, particularly the name of God. As you can see it shifts from Eloi to YHWH. The specific choice of YHWH as the psalmist’s God above all other Gods seems to be intended.
